George P. Pappas and Brian O’Rear Successfully Obtain Summary Judgment

George P. Pappas and Brian O’Rear successfully obtained summary judgment for a firm client in a case involving negligence and premises liability. The case arose when an oilfield worker was exiting a building at an oilfield drill site. When the worker attempted to walk through the door, a sudden gust of wind blew it closed onto the plaintiff causing personal injuries. Mr. Pappas and Mr. O’Rear successfully argued the wind which set the chain of events in motion is a natural condition. Even though natural conditions can be dangerous, they are not as a matter of law an unreasonably dangerous condition.
