Nancy brings multiple talents and experience to her practice, and draws on her years of working as an attorney on Wall Street and with other law firms prior to joining Sheehy Ware Pappas & Grubbs. She has served as outside legal counsel to some of San Antonio’s largest and most dynamic companies.
Nancy represents numerous small and medium-sized companies–and their officers and owners–as general legal counsel. She prides herself on learning the nuts-and-bolts of her clients’ businesses and their day-to-day challenges. This enables Nancy to advise her clients and close their transactions with deep knowledge of their ultimate business objectives.
With experience in both business and tax law, Nancy has represented companies in several of the most important industries in both San Antonio and other areas of Texas, including aviation, automobile parts manufacturing, produce distribution, telecommunications, veterinary medicine, and oil field service. She works with entrepreneurs, owners, investors, chief financial officers, and other company executives who have great ideas and devote their business energies to building competitive, sophisticated and dynamic companies.
Nancy has served as general legal counsel to all sizes of companies, from small businesses owned by independent entrepreneurs, to companies in the middle market, and to some of San Antonio’s largest corporations. In recognition of her business knowledge and experience, Nancy has served on several boards of directors, including those of a national bank, a large commercial nursing home corporation, and of the Housing Advisory Committee of the Alamo Area Council of Governments.
Nancy is a fluent Spanish speaker which allows her to work with a wider range of clients and companies within the San Antonio and South Texas business community.

Represented a majority owner of a successful limited liability partnership in the spin-off of one division and the sale of that division.
Represented a majority partner versus minority partners in negotiations concerning the rights and responsibilities of partners.
Represented a foreign-owned automotive parts manufacturing company in regard to the US aspects of setting up a maquiladora subsidiary in Mexico.
Represented an aviation manufacturing company in purchases and sales of aircraft, including the sale of helicopters to be utilized off-shore.
Represented the owner of an emergency vehicle business in the sale of the business.
Represented the founder of a school in the foundational and operational documents.
Represented a foreign-owned automobile safety parts manufacturer, in general legal requirements.
Represented the owner of an aviation company in the structuring and documentation for the initial acquisition of the business and then the intercompany relationships.
Established the US subsidiary of a Canadian company for the subsidiary to sell its products for use in the US oil and gas industry, and advised the Canadian company on certain US aspects of the sale of the company.
Represented a foreign-owned importer of produce in various transactions, including employee agreements, produce distribution agreements and potential investor agreements.
Worked for many years on the representation of a large, industrial equipment dealer and distributor on a wide variety of transactions.
Worked on representing an investor in his acquisition of an interest in a national sports team.
Represented a wide variety of clients and completed all kinds of routine corporate business matters, including formation of businesses, financing of businesses, both for the lender and for the borrower, divisions of businesses, raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, both for the acquiror and for the target and, where necessary, dissolutions of businesses, and worked with tax accountants and tax lawyers in implementing Federal tax planning for businesses.

Represented a major importer of workers’ tools and supplies in the move of their credit and borrowing relationship from one major national bank to another national bank.
Represented an aviation manufacturing company in structuring borrowings and company financings to buyers or lessors of jet aircraft.
Represented a large San Antonio medical group in obtaining financing from a major national bank for the financing of the purchase of land for a new medical location.
Represented a national bank in lending to a Texas series limited liability company, a first for the national bank, as to the series member in the aviation business and as to the series member in the real estate business.
