Kevin Niknam

Mr. Niknam is a proud native Texan whose passion for the practice of law began while attending his alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin. When he was not playing UT club ruby, Mr. Niknam was cultivating his talents for advocacy via membership in academic legal organizations and local charitable philanthropy such as Beta Alpha Rho and the Boys & Girls Club of America.

After earning his B.A. in Government and before attending law school, Mr. Niknam continued expanding his knowledge of law by working for the Texas Senate. As part of his senior fellowship in his final year of law school, Mr. Niknam worked for a local boutique law firm with a practice focused on family law, personal injury and criminal law.

Early in his career, Mr. Niknam served as a support attorney for several national defense firms representing large corporate entities on numerous class action lawsuits involving automobile products liability and pharmaceutical litigation.

Mr. Niknam has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation including motion practice, resolving discovery disputes, mediation, and trial. He currently concentrates his practice in insurance defense, personal injury, transportation/trucking litigation, FMCSR, dram shop, premises liability, premises defects, construction defects, wrongful death, UM/UIM claims, first-party homeowner claims, transaction litigation and DTPA. Mr. Niknam spent several years representing plaintiffs in matters of personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, and contract disputes before transitioning into civil litigation defense.

Having represented clients on both sides of litigation has given Mr. Niknam invaluable experience and a unique skill in problem solving allowing him to more effectively advocate for his clients.

When not practicing law, Mr. Niknam enjoys spending time with his family, playing volleyball, competing in USPSA and volunteering in substance abuse counseling.
