An experienced litigator, Mr. Veliz is a member of the insurance law, commercial and business law, transportation and trucking, and construction litigation practice groups at Pappas Grubbs Price PC. The attorney, who joined the firm in 2022, defends insurance companies in a broad range of matters in addition to representing clients in various business and commercial cases.

 

A 2020 graduate of the Texas Tech University (TTU) School of Law, Mr. Veliz also holds a Master of Public Administration from TTU. During law school, Mr. Veliz worked with Prof. Colonel Richard Rosen, Director of the TTU Center for Military Law & Policy, as a research assistant for “Military Law: Criminal Justice & Administrative Process,” an award-winning book co-authored by Col. Rosen that serves as a reference for military law practitioners. Mr. Veliz also completed two internships in the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office as well as a summer internship at the Texas Courts 4th Court of Appeals.

 

When he is not working, Mr. Veliz enjoys Muay thai (similar to kickboxing), Olympic lifting, his car (a Corvette), and supporting the San Antonio Spurs, the Tottenham Spurs, and the San Antonio Football Club.
