Jana Taylor and Stephanie Erhart successfully tried a premises liability case in Denton County, Texas. The plaintiff alleged that she fell at her apartment complex as a result of an unreasonably dangerous condition. Specifically the plaintiff complained that there was a hole next to a sidewalk where she fell and that there was poor lighting in the area where she fell. Plaintiff’s demand prior to trial was just under $1,000,000.00. Plaintiff asked the jury for just under $800,000.00. After four days of testimony the jury reached a unanimous verdict on March 1, 2018. The jury found in favor of the Defendants in less than 30 minutes.
