Jana Taylor and Stephanie Erhart Obtain a Defense Verdict in Dallas County, Texas

Jana Taylor and Stephanie Erhart successfully tried a premises liability case in Dallas County, Texas. The plaintiff alleged that she fell at her son’s apartment complex because of an unreasonably dangerous condition. Specifically, the plaintiff complained that she fell and broke her knee on uneven concrete in the parking lot. She also claimed that there was poor lighting in the area where she fell. Plaintiff’s demand prior to trial was just under $900,000.00. Plaintiff asked the jury for $667,780.99. After three days of testimony the jury reached a unanimous verdict on October 5, 2018. The jury found in favor of the Defendants.
This is the second defense verdict obtained by Ms. Taylor and Ms. Erhart this year.
