George P. Pappas and Jennifer Cully Obtain Summary Judgment in Trespass and Conversion Case

George P. Pappas and Jennifer Cully successfully obtained summary judgment for a firm client in a case involving alleged trespass and conversion. The case arose from a homeowners association (HOA) project to widen drainage easements. The HOA had approved the work performed by the firm’s client, but the plaintiff homeowner complained about removal of trees and soil from plaintiff’s property. Mr. Pappas and Ms. Cully successfully argued the firm’s client had the right to enter the land to perform the work as the HOA’s authorized agent, and thus could not have trespassed or converted plaintiff’s property.
