Firm Shareholder and President of Bay Area Council Scouts BSA Welcomes First Female Eagle Scout

06.08.2021

On March 27, 2021 Adrien Prouty became the first female Eagle Scout in the Bay Area Council of Scouts BSA and firm shareholder Jim Ware attended as President of Bay Area Council Scouts BSA.  In February, 2019 the national organization announced that females will be admitted to the scouting programs and could form Scout Troops.  Adrien Prouty’s group formed a Scout Troop 715 in League City, Texas and she embarked on an ambitious endeavor to complete all of the requirements for the rank of Eagle within 22 months and did so.  She created a detailed timeline of the minimum time periods to achieve each rank advancement and persistently worked on each.  She also personally double checked the paperwork for each because she anticipated scrutiny and wanted it to be perfect.  Along the way she trekked in Philmont National Scout Ranch and sailed at Florida Seabase.
