Mr. Scheinthal concentrates his practice in commercial, bankruptcy and personal injury litigation. He practices before all Texas state and federal courts. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to individuals, and he has tried cases on both the plaintiff and defense sides of the bar.
With respect to commercial and bankruptcy litigation, Mr. Scheinthal has represented clients in matters involving breach of fiduciary obligations, fraud, tortious interference, deceptive trade practice, secured transactions, trade secrets, eminent domain, landlord/tenant disputes, construction litigation and collections. His practice also includes creditor's rights and bankruptcy law primarily focusing on the representation of secured creditors such as automobile finance companies and national banking associations in U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and in state courts throughout the state of Texas.
Mr. Scheinthal also handles a wide variety of general negligence and personal injury litigation including legal malpractice, automobile and trucking litigation, products liability, premises liability, toxic tort and insurance disputes. He has been involved in many cases dealing with serious injury and with death. Mr. Scheinthal was recognized by the Texas Lawyer in May 2000 as having received the largest defense verdict while defending a Houston law firm for legal malpractice involving a complex commercial transaction. Mr. Scheinthal is "BV" Peer-Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
