Ms. O'Neal has experience in medical malpractice litigation involving hospitals, physicians, dentists, nursing homes, nurses, and independent practice associations. She has experience with complex multi-party litigation and handles all aspects of litigation, including, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, settlement analysis, and trial preparation.
Ms. O'Neal also has several years of experience working in health care as a registered nurse in critical care units. She remains actively licensed as a nurse. Ms. O'Neal obtained several certifications while working as a nurse including, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course certifications. She was also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. During law school, Ms. O'Neal worked as a research assistant for the Director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Houston Law Center.

Assisted with the representation of hospitals in cases involving credentialing issues, health care fraud, and issues related to joint enterprise, joint venture and other theories of vicarious liability.

Assisted in overturning default judgments, including briefing and arguing the issues.

Successfully disposed of numerous lawsuits through motions for summary judgment, which challenged claims in wrongful death and survival actions, and motions to dismiss in medical malpractice cases based on inadequate expert reports.

Assisted with hospital defense in premises liability slip and fall cases.
