Mr. Brannon concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury litigation.  He has represented several of the largest trucking and transport companies in the nation, as well as smaller companies and owner operators in fatality and catastrophic injury cases.  He has defended products' manufacturers, trucking and transportation companies and their insurers as well as products' manufacturers, suppliers and distributors in personal injury litigation.  He also has significant experience representing industrial and construction companies and contractors in cases involving on the job fatalities and injuries, alleged construction defects, as well as DTPA and breach of contract claims.

Mr. Brannon is frequently called upon to perform rapid response on-site  coordination with clients to assist them in their industrial accident investigations as well as dealings with OSHA and other governmental entities.  He has defended clients on claims ranging from minor injuries to fatality incidents.  He has also defended employers in numerous employment law cases, including claims of wrongful termination, retaliation, sexual harassment and discrimination.

Representative Experience

Personal Injury/Transportation Law/Industrial Fatalities:

  • Represented companies in responding to OSHA citations, which resulted in removal or mediation of citations and penalties.

  • Successfully defended cases involving automobile accidents with eighteen-wheelers, including multi-vehicle pileups, fatality accidents and cases requiring complex accident reconstruction and expert testimony.

  • Represented trucking and transportation companies on claim where damages were sought under the Carmack Amendment.

  • Successfully defended a national trucking company on a case where a former employee was allegedly assaulted on the job and had pled causes of action for wrongful termination, retaliation and negligence.

  • Defended numerous industrial companies in wrongful death and employer's liability litigation.

Products Liability:

  • Successfully defended one of the nation's largest food manufacturers against claims of negligent manufacturing and marketing defects arising out of alleged food contamination and allegations of foreign objects in food.

  • Represented one of the nation's largest suppliers of protective equipment and respiratory protection in hundreds of cases involving allegations of asbestos and silica exposure.

Employment Law:

  • Successfully defended dozens of businesses on a variety of claims involving on-the-job injuries, business automobile collisions, wrongful termination claims, sexual and racial discrimination claims, retaliation allegations and dram shop cases.

Construction Litigation:

  • Represented construction companies, cement producers and retailers, HVAC contractors and various subcontractors on a variety of construction defect claims including allegations of cracked foundations, improper installation of heating and air conditioning units, claims of mold contamination and personal injury claims regarding alleged exposure to fiberglass and other air borne contaminants.
